Treatments at Form Recovery and Wellness
Form Recovery and Wellness organises its treatments into three clinical departments: physiotherapy, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Applied Thai Traditional Medicine (ATM). It also lists recovery technology and services delivered outside the clinic.[1] The clinic states that every therapist stays with the patient for the whole session, and that every branch has a gym for combining hands-on treatment with exercise.[2] A course of treatment starts with a 30-minute consultation with a practitioner from the department of the service booked.[3] The clinic states that the head of each department reviews cases and that plans often combine departments.[4]
This page describes what each treatment involves and who provides it, as published by the clinic. Prices are on the price page.
Physiotherapy
[edit]
Physiotherapy at Form Recovery is a one-to-one, 60-minute treatment with a licensed physiotherapist, offered at all four clinics. Each course starts with an assessment of the cause of the patient's pain.[5] Longer 90- and 120-minute sessions are also sold.[3]
| Treatment | What it involves | Lengths |
|---|---|---|
| Physiotherapy[5] | Assessment followed by treatment with a licensed physiotherapist. The clinic lists back, neck, shoulder, knee and hip pain, sciatica, sports injuries and rehabilitation after surgery among the conditions treated. | 60, 90 or 120 min[3] |
| Aqua therapy[6] | Physiotherapy exercises in water, in a 6 m × 12 m salt-water pool with safety railings. | 60 min[3] |

Traditional Chinese Medicine
[edit]TCM treatments are provided by licensed Chinese medicine doctors (CMD).[1] During an acupuncture session the TCM doctor stays with the patient for the whole session and does not run two rooms at once.[11]

It is used for swelling after surgery, including after liposuction, and for water retention. | 60, 75 or 90 min[14] |
| Acupressure[15] | Pressure applied to specific points on the body, using Thai acupressure. | 45, 60 or 90 min[3] |

For water retention, the clinic states that medical lymphatic drainage is usually booked twice a week.[14]

Services outside the clinic
[edit]Practitioners visit patients' homes across central Bangkok for patients with limited mobility or who cannot come to a clinic. Treatments from several departments are available this way.[22][1] Telehealth sessions are covered under Physiotherapy.
Signature treatments
[edit]The clinic sells five fixed combinations that start with a consultation and draw on more than one department: Migraine Recovery, Office Syndrome, Sleep Enhancement, Ancient Thai Rebalance and Jet Lag Recovery. They last 135 minutes, except Jet Lag Recovery, which lasts 210 minutes.[3] Their contents and prices are on the price page.
